The film describes the extraordinary journey of a young soldier trying to find his place in the chaos su...。香港回归二十五年，故事围绕一个奋斗家庭作为社会缩影。警员叶国栋（陈山聪饰）被委任为七一回归庆典的升旗手，却于出场前弄伤手臂，未能履行升旗职务，恰巧太太孙卓岚（唐诗咏饰）在回归日诞下儿子家梁（朱敏瀚饰），弥补了内心遗憾。回归数年，香港经历高低起跌，零三年沙士来袭，卓岚诞下幼女嘉雯（刘颖镟饰），一家人迎难而上。时光飞逝，家梁长大后背包游时遇上暴乱，幸得国家在危难中守护。看到国旗飘扬，家梁立志成为警察，守护香港，更盼望能代父亲完成当年的升旗手心愿……。吴山居招聘伙计，刘丧受吴山居的老板吴邪之托前来应聘并照看吴山居。初来乍到的刘丧与临时老板霍道夫和伙计豹萨结了怨，两人设计整刘丧报仇，却阴差阳错的让刘丧揭开了一个吴山居多年以前留下的未解之谜，解开了一个曾经在吴山居外墙存在多年却怎么也除不去的女子画像的故事。吴邪安排刘丧来此不是巧合，而是精心安排的解铃之行。。
